Anna-Maria Galante (Ria) is a certified Kindermusik educator, and private piano teacher. She has been playing piano since age six, but has also been known to play ukulele, recorder, flute, harp and occasionally, accordion.
Ria grew up in a musical family with an opera-singing and trumpet-playing dad, and was drafted early in life to coach younger siblings at the keyboard. Teaching piano was her first job, while in high school. After some years in the journalism field, she switched careers to focus on the whole child, and opened a music studio to pursue this mission.
Ria began offering Kindermusik classes in 2007. Her goal is to foster confident, well-rounded, happy children and great parenting with easier daily routines.
She is piano accompanist for the Kings Chorale Children’s Chorus, and has also accompanied the junior Annapolis Valley Honour Choir, and the Shiretown Singers, and CentreStage Theatre, in Kentville. She is a member of the Valley Chapter of the Nova Scotia Registered Music Teachers Association, and has a Grade 10 from the Royal Conservatory.
